A vintage skirt, likely from the 1950s, with smocking below the waistband to give the skirt fullness. The person who I bought this from shared with me that it came from an estate of a woman who designed clothing, and they believed that she screen printed and made this skirt. I'm not sure if this is true, but the print on the skirt is vibrant and beautiful, whatever its origin. The fabric is a lightweight cotton, and the skirt fastens with snaps and buttons on the waistband.
