A vintage late 1930s/early 1940s velveteen dress with a flared skirt, large collar, pin tucking on the front shoulders, and slightly puffed sleeves. The dress has a Fashion Originators Guild of America (FOGA) label, which was a label used by designers trying to protect their designs from knockoffs in the mid-1930s to early 1940s. The fabric is cotton velveteen, and has thin stripes in black and red. The dress fastens with a snap at the front neckline, snaps at the sleeve cuffs, and a side metal zipper.
Size: small to smaller medium
Bust: flexible because of gathering; will easily work for up to 38", and based on my measurements, I think it will work for up to ~40"
Waist: 27"-snug 28"
Hip: 48" fully extended, but meant to drape
Length: 42"
Bodice length (from mid shoulder to waist seam): 16"
Shoulder (from seam to seam) 14"
Model is 5'11", and dress felt slightly too short for her tall frame
Condition: Excellent. One belt loop has broken. Because it's made from thread and not fabric, it easily could be covered by a belt or removed.
