A vintage late 1930s to early 1940s bias cut nightgown that would work as a modern dress. It has lace on the upper bodice and shoulders, embroidery below the front neckline, and attached waist ties. It also has flutter sleeves that are attached to thin fabric pieces that are acting like straps. The gown is expertly hand sewn. I cannot test the fabric because it has French seams, but it feels like a silk rayon blend (it's not 100% silk; there's a chance it's 100% rayon, but it feels like it has silk content). It's a pale aqua that is more green than blue. Gown has a label for Best & Co.

Size: xs to small

Bust: max bust is ~34-35" (model measures 32" in the bust, and gown fits her as shown)

Waist: will stretch to 33" to fit over bust/shoulders, and will cinch with waist ties (model measures 24" in the waist, and gown fits her as shown)

Hip: max hip is ~44"

Length: 58-59

Condition: Very good. Slight uneven discoloration that is difficult to photograph. Has scattered pinholes, including one on front waist, but they don't jump out. A few marks and a small mend at hem that are not noticeable because of location. An area of darker discoloration (maybe from a caught heel?) about 5-6" above the back hem that is not noticeable because of location. Gown has been hand washed and presents beautifully.
