An antique, Edwardian era petticoat with lace and embroidery on the lower half. The semi-sheer fabric feels like cotton, and the petticoat fastens with hook and eye fasteners.
Size: large
Waist: 32"
Hip: 52" (meant to have some drape)
Length: 37"
Condition: Very good. I've done a handful of repairs to the lace that aren't noticeable due to intricacy of lace and location of repairs (see close-up photo for one example). There are also few sewing imperfections due to later alterations. I think this petticoat was once smaller because there is some added fabric/messy stitching at back of waistband, likely when the waist was enlarged (again, this isn't noticeable when petticoat is worn). The horizontal pleat above the lace and embroidery isn't completely even and I think was done at the same time as the waistband adjustment. Despite these minor imperfections, the petticoat presents well.
