A vintage 1940s pink satin swimsuit. This two-piece suit has a top that ties in the back and adjustable shoulder straps. The bottoms have attached waist ties that tie in the front. The satin is a rayon satin, and both the top of the suit and crotch of the bottoms are have a knit lining. The maker is "Mabs Originals"/"Mabs Hollywood" (I found an ad for a very similar suit by this company from 1947.)
Size: xs to small
Bust: has some flexibility because of how it ties in back (the suit is tagged a 34; I'm a 34C/D bra size and fits me in the cup area. It could work for a slightly larger underbust, but I wouldn't go too much larger with cup size; it's also best if you don't have a tiny cup size since the cups are sewn to have some fulness)
Length of top (from top of shoulder strap to hem: 10" at first button setting and 11.5" at second button setting
Waist: 24.5" at smallest (and could tie slightly smaller with attached waist ties), and will stretch to up to around 34" to fit over hips
Hip (unstretched to stretched): 32-37"
Rise: 13.5"
Condition: Very good. Top lining has holes, but these aren't visible when suit is worn and don't affect wearability of the suit. A few marks on the back of bottoms--one mark just below waistband is noticeable but not glaring (see next to last pic). Other marks are so faint I had to get close to the fabric and search for them (see last pic). Suit has been cleaned.
