A vintage 1930s peignoir set, consisting of a slip and robe. The slip has detailing on the shoulders and bust, including braiding on the straps, as well as lace and embroidery on the bust and waist. The slip fastens with snaps and a hook and eye at the side waist. The robe has lace on the bodice, petal sleeves with lace trim, and fastens with woven/braided buttons at the front waist. The set is handmade with high-quality construction, including French seams, hand stitched hems, etc. The light pink satin fabric is bias cut, drapes beautifully, and tests as a rayon/silk blend.

Size: xs to small

Slip:

Bust: max 34" (model is a 32" bust and fits well as shown)

Waist: max 27" (model is a 24" waist and fits well as shown)

Hip: flexible

Length: 57-58"

Robe:

Bust: max 34" (model is 32" bust and fits well as shown)

Waist: max 27" (model is 24" waist and fits well as shown)

Hip: flexible

Length: 56"

Condition: The robe is in excellent condition, and the set presents as excellent when worn together.

The slip does have flaws that are notable if slip is worn separately: visible marks below the front waist (see last photo). I attempted to remove them, and they've lightened, but won't lift. The slip also lightened in color when I attempted to remove the marks, so the slip is a lighter shade than the robe. If the slip is worn independently, the marks are visible, though they aren't glaring because they get somewhat lost in the drape of the skirt. The slip and robe can be worn together without the marks on the slip being visible, and the lighter color of the slip doesn't detract from the beauty of the set!
